Laura Arnold is a NYC-based Emmy-Nominated freelance culinary producer, cookbook author/consultant, recipe developer/tester, and food stylist. Before going freelance, she was the Culinary Producer on ABC's Daytime-Winning Talk Show, The Chew. She has since worked on several food tv productions including launching The Good Dish, 90 Day Fiance Foodie Call, Throwdown with Michael Symon, among many others.
In addition to working on several food tv productions, Laura is a cookbook consultant helping chefs, celebrities, bloggers, brands, and food professionals bring their cookbooks to life with anything from recipe development and testing, to food writing. She has worked on over 30 cookbook titles and has authored four cookbooks of her own, Best Simple Suppers for Two, Best Sweets & Treats for Two, Instant One-Pot Meals, and Dinner Under Pressure.
Prior to working on “The Chew,” she worked in the food styling division of Oxmoor House and with the Digital Video team at Time Inc. in Birmingham, AL. At Oxmoor, she found her love of the cookbook process mainly food styling and assisting on cookbooks across all of the Time Inc. brands including Southern Living, Cooking Light, All You, Sunset, Simply Sweet, General Mills, Gooseberry Patch, Weight Watchers and independent clients. She also styled food videos for the Time Inc. Lifestyle Brands, and produced a pilot recipe video series. Her video Cauliflower Pizza Crust is still one of the leading viral food video at MyRecipes.com/Time Inc and received the Luce Award.
Laura graduated from The International Culinary Center (The French Culinary Institute) on the Dean’s List, and received the Gaggenau Scholarship from Les Dames d’Escoffier NY. She worked in the kitchens of Jean-Georges & Nougatine and Halcyon in Charlotte, NC during culinary school and college. With a B.S. in biology from Davidson College, she found a knack for the skill of recipe development and testing. Laura has recipe development and testing experience with "The Chew," Food52, thekitchn.com, DotDash Brands, WW, Stop & Shop, and Good Housekeeping Magazine, among several other private clients. She also has editorial experience working with Ted Lee of The Lee Bros., thekitchn.com, Crave Magazine (Columbus, OH), and numerous cookbook titles.
